IGMA at the Goldau Nature and Wildlife Park – Nature and Wildlife Park at IGMA

10. Indoor Flying, March 23–24, 2013

The IGMA (IG Modellflugplatz Arth) is planning something big: IGMA Air Show featuring the Goldau Nature and Wildlife Park / Exhibition of models by the Swiss Jet World Championship Team / Swiss F6B AeroMusical Championship / Model-building workshop for teens / Exhibition of aircraft and ship models ...

IGMA has big plans for the 10th Anniversary Indoor Flying event. This two-day event will feature model flying at its finest, combined with excitement and spectacle.

An IGMA-organized air show themed around the Goldau Nature and Wildlife Park is currently the organizing committee’s top priority. In addition to designing and building flying animals, the team is also flying models within the wildlife park itself and filming a video. The zoo’s management quickly and without red tape approved IGMA’s request for collaboration. As a result, remote-controlled animals are currently flying at the Goldau Nature and Wildlife Park. Using these models, our aerial photography specialist Markus Nussbauer is capturing footage both on the ground and from the air. This footage will later be compiled into a video that will not only be integrated into the air show but will also be available on the park’s website (*www.tierpark.ch*) and the IGMA’s website (*www.igma.ch*). The IGMA is always accompanied, advised, and supervised by park rangers to ensure that the animals are disturbed or frightened as little as possible. The first shots of a flying stingray and aerial footage over the wolf and bear enclosures are “in the can.” A one-of-a-kind project—both IGMA and the zoo are eager to see how the final result turns out. We’ll keep you updated here on the other highlights of Indoor 2013 as they develop.
