In a wide variety of building conditions

24th Model Building Exchange Hosted by MG Dübendorf at the JU Hall

Mild temperatures create a great atmosphere

Sunshine early in the morning, along with pleasant temperatures. In the afternoon, it even reached over 15 °C. These were actually ideal conditions for completing the last few flights in November before the winter break. These temperatures were also ideal for the air show at the Dübendorf airfield.

The very wide selection

Here’s an insider tip: “Start by looking for a bargain right away.” Half an hour after the market opens, many of the especially inexpensive models have already found new owners. From finished foam airplanes with barely noticeable wear to a beautifully built Ju-52 with three electric motors, there was a huge selection of model airplanes and helicopters, some at very reasonable prices. There were also a few model boats and cars on offer. As always, models that were partially built or even just in storage—in a wide variety of stages of completion—were offered at heavily discounted prices. Definitely a good investment ahead of a long winter—especially if you can also purchase the necessary servos and other parts from another seller at similarly low prices.

Restaurant – A Gathering Place for Stock Market Traders

Salespeople who spend all day in Dübendorf are glad to have a place nearby to grab a bite to eat every now and then. The restaurant next door is also the perfect spot to catch up on the latest news or discuss recent purchases with like-minded colleagues.

The author would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizer and the many volunteers for making the fair possible. Several photo albums from the event, organized by theme, can be viewed online at www.telesys.ch.
