Battery Regeneration Device
Under normal use, the batteries in an RC system (transmitter and receiver) are only discharged to a small extent.
For safety reasons, the capacity is typically chosen to be several times greater than would normally be necessary. It has now been observed that, over time, the battery “gets used to” this pattern of only partial discharges, and its capacity consequently decreases. An American company has therefore introduced a device that automatically tests the batteries and can improve their performance through automatic discharge and charge cycles. A comrade from the Frauenfeld Machine Gun Company has imported such a device and will report on his experiences in an upcoming issue of the MFS and may accept additional orders.
