Board of Directors Visits Bassersdorf Airfield
The NOS Board paid a visit to MFV Bassersdorf during the board meeting to inspect the container for the lawn tractor. After mutual greetings from the two presidents, Emil (NOS) and Werni (MFV-BD), we enjoyed the refreshments provided, organized by Reto.
We listened intently as Emil spoke about the importance of preserving the airfield. Emil was delighted by our beautiful airfield and congratulated us on it. Then airfield manager Peter Rüfenacht opened the container and, with great pride, presented the “Ferrari” to the NOS board. Everyone examined it from all angles, asked about technical details, and received expert answers from Peter. Our colleagues were delighted by this beautiful and comfortable lawn tractor. Comments included: “Absolutely fantastic!” “I’ve never seen anything like this at a model airfield before!” At the subsequent board meeting, a contribution of CHF 2,000 toward the cost of the container was approved in favor of the Bassersdorf Model Flying Club. On behalf of the members of the MFV-BD, I would like to thank the NOS for its financial contribution as well as for visiting the airfield.
