Christmas Reception on December 13, 2007

On Thursday, December 13, Walter Heller and I were invited to a Christmas reception at Rega in Kloten. Rega hosts this reception regularly for its customers and suppliers. I estimate that about 120 invited guests were in attendance. It took place in the hangar where the three Canadair CL 604 “Challenger” aircraft are normally parked. A bar was set up roughly in the center, where everyone could help themselves. Our models were displayed
on two tables on the right side of the hangar. To ensure the details were clearly visible, they were additionally illuminated by two spotlights. We also showed a slideshow of images from the construction phase on an iMac. Right on time at 5:00 p.m., the “gates” opened, and the first invited guests began streaming in. Our static display immediately became a major attraction. We were able to have interesting conversations with many curious visitors. The key specifications for both models were displayed on two posters. Walter Heller’s Agusta has been finished for some time now—

had already been built and had completed several flights. This allowed for the implementation of initial optimization measures that improved the helicopter’s reliability. Walter was also able to gain his first experience with a 4-blade rotor head. My EC145 was completed under tight deadlines for this event. That means everything visible on the outer fuselage. I’ll finish the interior work over the winter months, along with the mechanical components that are still missing. I’ve scheduled the maiden flight for May 2008! My personal goal is to be able to actively participate in the upcoming championships and air shows.

This Rega reception was a very successful event, and we had the opportunity to discuss important details—both big and small—with employees and insiders. I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Antonio
Pannella, Axel Haeseli, and Daniel Kränzlin from Rega—without them, our participation wouldn’t have been possible. I’d also like to thank our colleague Hansruedi Lüthi, who has consistently supported us with technical assistance. Eric Ribak
