Visiting the Mollis Airfield
We repeatedly hear from various sources how exemplary the cooperation is among the different aviation activities—recreational aviation, aviation businesses, and air rescue services—at the Mollis airfield. This collaborative spirit has been particularly highlighted time and again by the MG Glarnerland.
Region NOS wanted to learn more about this and reached out to the board of directors of Mollis Airport AG. An invitation followed promptly, and a sizeable group gathered at the airfield one Saturday morning. Thomas Walt, chairman of the board of Mollis Airport AG, captivated us with his lively and informative
introduction to the airfield’s history from its inception to the present day, as well as its exciting future plans. The strong commitment of those in charge to fostering the broadest possible acceptance among the local population, the business community, and recreational pilots was
truly palpable. The subsequent tour of the Kopter Group AG facilities was the icing on the cake. Many thanks to everyone involved for the exciting morning. ■
