Where the Real Challenges Lie – F3A Elite Training and Judges’ Course at MAC Biel / Bienne
The F3A family had the pleasure of experiencing the hospitality of MAC Biel. With a few exceptions, nearly all active F3A pilots and judges gathered at the airfield in Bargen under beautiful weather conditions. The morning was spent demonstrating the new figure programs P-21 and F-21 to the judges in a real-world setting, after these had already been introduced to participants earlier this year during a detailed presentation at a NOS seminar. It became clear once again that theory is good and necessary, but it is only through practical application that the real pitfalls become apparent. In the afternoon, the
elite training session smoothly transitioned into open practice, allowing all pilots present to get some flying in. By late afternoon, all participants were very satisfied with how the day had gone, which was then celebrated with a group dinner at the “Bären” in Lyss. We need to consider whether we should include such an event in our annual schedule going forward. We extend our heartfelt thanks
to MAC Biel, with its dedicated president Arnold Trümpi and his team, for their hospitality, and we look forward to the next time. ■
