F3A RC Aerobatics in Nänikon

For the first time, MG Uster organized the F3A Regional Championship on its grounds in Nänikon. Despite beautiful weather and excellent organization, unfortunately only eight pilots showed up to compete for the regional championship titles in the two categories, Promotion and Newcomer. Matthias Bosshard won the Regional Championship in the Promotion category, and Oliver Gautschi won in the Newcomer category. The flying in both categories was of a very high standard.

Of the eight participants, seven flew electric-powered models, and only one (remaining) participant flew a “combustion engine” model. Although this was the first F3A Regional Championship organized by MG Uster, everything went off without a hitch—just like

if she had done this for the umpteenth time. Even the baptism could be carried out in the truest sense of the word. Immediately after the last participant landed, a torrential downpour began. With a delay of about half an hour, the awards ceremony was finally able to take place.
