From the Annual Report
The reporting year was once again quite successful for MG Glattal. The numerous events organized by members and flight directors over the past year, along with the attendance figures they generated, demonstrated that the effort was well worth it and that a large portion of the members are actively interested in the club. Of course, we’re not focused on the same kind of top-level performance as other groups. But as experience has shown, in other clubs where an atmosphere of absolute specialization prevails, there are often groups of members who split off from the club because they cannot or do not want to align themselves with the specialists. The biggest challenge for our group last season was undoubtedly organizing the Regional RCS Slope Championships on the Hoch-Ybrig. This event was also conducted in accordance with the new regulations. Thanks to the tremendous support and dedication of a large portion of our members, most things went exceptionally well, and the event was a great success. Many thanks to everyone involved who helped make this happen.

I don’t want to say much more in this annual report. After ten years as chairman of the Glattal Model Flying Club, I would like to step down from this position and leave the helm of the club to someone else. It certainly wasn’t always easy to strike the right balance, and I’m sure that here and there, one person or another wasn’t entirely satisfied. Nevertheless, I rarely heard any complaints or harsh words. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the members of our club for the trust they have placed in me during this time. I would also like to thank all members who, in one way or another, have helped make the MG Glattal what it is today, as well as all my colleagues on the board for their excellent support. I wish MG Glattal the same strong sense of camaraderie in the future as we have today, and I wish all members every success. I also hope that in the future I’ll be able to participate more in our aviation activities and experience all these benefits firsthand.
