IGG Friendly Fly-In in Geiss
After two weather-related cancellations of the IGG’s tow weekends, the Nimbus group in Geiss, LU, organized a Friday afternoon friendly fly-in as a replacement for the past and upcoming weekends’ unpredictable weather. The ground at the beautiful airfield was still a bit damp, so thermals were usable starting at about 300 m—no problem for the tow crew on site.
Flying continued extensively until around evening. As the Bise wind picked up, the pilots moved on to a first-class paella dinner provided by the Nimbus group.
There, we were able to pursue another purpose of the IGG: discussions about new models and construction solutions, as well as the usual pilot banter.
This way, we managed to outwit our honorary member, Petrus, despite his carefully planned weekend rain. Many thanks to the Nimbus Group!
