RC Aerobatics: Flight Windows and Airspaces
In the F3 aerobatics categories F3A, F3M, and F3S, the flight windows are defined under “Judging,” and in F5A electric aerobatics, they are defined under “Execution of Maneuvers.”

In this category—with the exception of the rolling circles—all figures are placed on a single plane at intervals of 150 m. Adherence to these distances and heights (2 dimensions) has a significant impact on the judges’ scoring.

The figures are presented on a single plane (2 dimensions). The rolling circles are exceptions here as well. The lateral angles and the elevation angle were set to 70 degrees.

Due to the higher speed of the jet aerobatic models, the lateral angles were increased to 75 degrees, and the altitude was not specified.

The F5A Electric Aerobatics flight category is based on a British proposal and assumes that training sessions and competitions in this 3-kg class can also take place on sports fields. The program can be designed to be three-dimensional. The turning maneuvers are not judged as individual figures but are taken into account as part of the “overall impression.”
