Emilien Galley and Thomas Wackerlin set the standard
International Achievements at the 2017 FAI World Cup
Last year, young Emilien Galley, GMR de la Gruyère, won the FAI World Cup in RC aerobatics, in the Large Motor Models (F3M) category,
. He was personally presented with the gold medal at the CIAM plenary session on April 27 of this year.

Thomas Wackerlin, MG Rapperswil-Jona, once again secured a spot on the podium at the F5B World Cup. He finished third behind Gerben von Berkum (NED) and Julien Schild (AUT). He was presented with the bronze medal at the Militky Cup awards ceremony in Pfäffikon on May 12. The FAI World Cup in the F5B electric motor glider class (distance and endurance flight—or multitask) is held only every two years in non-World Championship years.
Warmest congratulations to the successful athletes!
