IS AVIATION A PASSION? WHY NOT TURN IT INTO A CAREER?

The ProAéro youth camp for aviation enthusiasts aged 14 to 16 (JULA: JUgendLAger) will hold its 42nd edition during the last week of July 2026, from July 26 to August 1.

It can be difficult for parents to provide their children with the right guidance at the right time to help them navigate their professional future. JULA, under the patronage of the ProAéro Foundation and organized by the Aero-Club of Switzerland, addresses all these questions. During an exciting week filled with theoretical presentations, hands-on workshops, and aerial demonstrations, your children will immerse themselves in the world of aviation.

Every year, more than 30 skilled volunteers dedicate their free time to supporting the participants—girls (30% girls by 2025) and boys—in their preferred language (French, German, Italian) throughout all the week’s activities... including medical, athletic, and culinary support (yum)! All at a very, very affordable price... For families in French-speaking Switzerland who are still hesitant to send their children to S-Chanf (in Graubünden, in the Engadine), transportation is organized for the train ride from Geneva, Lausanne, and Fribourg... They usually make friends on the train already! Of course, if parents would like to enjoy a few days of vacation in the region and at the gateway to the National Park, traveling on your own is also an option...

A week that will take their breath away and stay with them forever... The spirit of camaraderie fostered within the groups lasts long after the camp is over. I’ve been a camp counselor for the French-speaking Swiss for years. Being able to connect with these young people and spark their passions is a pleasure they truly make up for. ■
