I've been reading your work for many years, and I'm also an avid model airplane builder.

That’s precisely why I’d like to point out, in a friendly way, that the article struck me as a bit out of touch with reality.

M4x40 Allen screws and balsa wood are readily available in Switzerland, even in large quantities. There’s even a well-stocked store in Losone that carries products from this German company.

It’s true that here in Ticino, many people look to Italy to save a little money, but the materials are readily available right here as well.

We should undoubtedly support our local model shops. Unfortunately, however, online shopping is giving them a hard time; between ever-rising rents and labor costs, the situation is becoming difficult to sustain.

Added to this are increasingly strict regulations, which unfortunately discourage many young people from taking up this wonderful hobby. I wish you a happy new year and much success with your upcoming publications.
