The First we.fly Family Day in French-speaking Switzerland

On Sunday, the Sion Model Aircraft Club (GAM), in partnership with the Swiss Model Aircraft Federation, organized a free model aircraft discovery day open to everyone at the Botza field. As the first event of its kind in French-speaking Switzerland, the “we.fly” event—meaning “we fly”—drew a large crowd. Delighted to try their hand at the joys of dual-control flying (similar to driving school), participants of all ages were also able to watch demonstrations and try out the flight simulator. “The participants had stars in their eyes,” says Nicole Schacher, media relations manager for the GAM.
