Heli-Scale Meetup in Geneva

It had been a long time since a rotary-wing event had been held at the far end of Lake Geneva; so it was Pascal who took the initiative at the GAM Lacconnex field, insisting—as he wished—that each participant bring a proper helicopter model... Without really knowing in advance whether word of mouth would work, seven clubs—including two from neighboring France—answered the call under weather conditions that did justice to both the participants and the audience in attendance. It was an opportunity to meet other passionate hobbyists and to raise awareness of this parallel yet fascinating world of helicopters—one that remains somewhat niche for reasons that, let’s be frank, are no longer in step with the times. More generally, it’s worth noting that clubs in the region have everything to gain by scheduling this type of themed event on a rotating basis throughout the season, as

between clubs with the goal of restoring the usual appeal of our airfields with minimal preparatory work (compared to a traditional air show) and better showcasing the diversity of our aviation activities to the public.
Since I myself have only a superficial knowledge of the world of helicopters, I invite you to admire and listen to these beautiful machines, whose realism is often astonishing.
Thank you, then, to Pascal Damay for this very nice initiative.
