MG Dietikon's New Airfield in the Limmat Valley
The fact that a new model airfield is approved and built every now and then may improve our record. That's encouraging.
As can be seen in some of the photos, I took advantage of the day to speak with the three town council members who were present—including the mayor—to explain our concerns and show them that model aviation is a positive activity that doesn’t cause any problems. We also had two members of the press from the “Limmattalzeitung” and the Aargau newspaper “Limmatwelle,” whom we gave the opportunity to fly a model airplane using the instructor-student system. Due to time constraints, we were unable to

Unfortunately, the town council was unable to take advantage of this opportunity. We have postponed it until a later date. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the day was a complete success, and the meeting with the town council members certainly helped build personal relationships and dispel reservations about model aviation.
