His name is Waldemar because he was in the woods again!

“No, not again.” The words echo loudly from the flight attendant, and a loud rustling and crackling fills the quiet of the forest. – R.G. (name known to the editors) slowly makes his way down the forest path into the woods, fiddling with his transmitter in the hope that the servo noises will reveal the spot where his glider is now soaring at a height of about 20 meters, unrivaled in the sky. Well then, the expensive model has been located and should now be recovered—or is the effort too great? Too dangerous? From both an ecological and an economic standpoint, it makes no sense to leave the wrecks high up in the air to their fate. It would also certainly not be to the forester’s liking—and above all: how would he explain it to his child (in this case, his wife)?

But here’s the crux of the matter. How does he get that fantastic piece of equipment back down to the ground? Climb up himself—

What to do? – Too dangerous! Rent a lift? – Too expensive! So he decides to wait a whole week for the predicted storm. But the storm only swept the thing a few meters down, and now it’s finally wedged between two thick branches, still 15 meters up. – Then came the epiphany from a very clever clubmate: “If you need professional help, why not call a tree climber?” After just a few clicks on the World Wide Web, help was found—and the tree climber even lives in the village next to his airfield. One call to the cell phone number 079 462 63 77 was all it took; the price was quickly negotiated (in any case, only a fraction of the cost of the components hanging in the tree), and a few minutes later, Martin Peter from Oberwil-Nürensdorf

ZH from Faell-group.ch, climbs up like a—well, whatever—and before you know it, Dad’s favorite is being lowered to the ground on a rope. Joy reigns! Dear model aviators, write this number down in your toolbox or on the back of your transmitter, because the day will come...
