CHABLAIS Friendly Match

On Saturday, June 15, members of the Aigle-Bex Model Aviation Club welcomed several modelers from various model aviation clubs in the Romande region to their field.

This joyful and exciting day took place under sunny skies, with somewhat choppy flying conditions in the morning (westerly wind) that gradually improved as the afternoon wore on. The day, marked by camaraderie, good cheer, conversation, and a shared passion for model aircraft of all kinds, was a true success.

We enjoyed the meticulously prepared displays of thermal and electric models, gliders, helicopters, and jets of all sizes. The lunch break was made even more enjoyable by an excellent meal prepared by Patrice Martin, the cafeteria manager, and his team.

This type of gathering allows us to rekindle and forge friendships in a relaxed atmosphere, without the need for extensive infrastructure, while enabling members of the host club to fly alongside modelers from all corners of the Romande region. ■
