SAN VITTORE - EURO HELI SERIES F3C September 21–22, 2019
When it comes to a venue for a European-level sporting event, San Vittore—a town at the entrance to the canton of Graubünden, just past Bellinzona—is probably not the first place that comes to mind. And yet, it hosted an F3C race as part of the Euro Heli Series in late summer 2019.

Thanks to the San Vittore Model Helicopter Club, led by President Manrico Duzzi, the skies were filled with the hum of helicopters over the weekend of September 21–22, as the weather was beautiful.
A truly distinguished group of pilots from various countries set out to earn points by flying their helicopters. It was no easy task for the judges to evaluate the performances, as the level of skill was top-notch.
The helicopter park was, of course, a feast for the eyes of any technology enthusiast, as there was a wide selection of the various components that make up a helicopter to admire. In addition to the frenetic and lively activity—discussions in front of the screens showing the checkpoints, and so on—the kitchen ensured the guests’ comfort on both days with its local cuisine. Those who weren’t flying simply enjoyed the beautiful late-summer day or a chat with friends over a cold drink. San Vitore, no longer just a dot on the map, will from now on be a familiar name in the helicopter community. It was a successful weekend in every respect, one that will certainly be remembered.
The GESV, which contributed to the event’s success through its vision and dedication, deserves praise.
Thank you, San Vitore.
