Sportflyers 24 at MG Breitenbach
On September 7, nine pilots gathered at the “Erlen” model airfield near MG Breitenbach for the F3A-class sport flyer competition. Four participants in the “Basics” class and five in the “Upper” class competed for the medals.
In the “Basics” class, the youngest competitors came out on top.
Leo Heynen won, ahead of Joshua Debernardi. Aimé Jerike took home the bronze medal.
Rodito Nussbaumer from the NOS region won the “Upper” class by a clear margin. The silver medal went to Alain Schad, and Vital Widmer took the bronze.
Of the nine participants from various regions, our NWS region was represented by five pilots. It was great to see how the youngest pilots helped and supported one another during the competition. I am confident that with the Sportflyer competitions taking place in three regions, we can promote the development of aerobatics. The model aerobatics category is both educational and beautiful.
