Call for the Fifth Expert Meeting in 2023—and they came in droves...

This mini-trade show, called “Experten-Treff,” has clearly established itself as a winter event in Hünenberg, Zug.

The steadily rising number of visitors demonstrates the great interest in meeting model builders and like-minded people, checking out the latest products, and listening to fascinating presentations.

13 exhibitors

With a total of 13 exhibitors from Switzerland and Germany, this venue has reached its maximum capacity. The motto “small but mighty” will remain true to this one-day event. We even had to turn down requests from well-known companies. We’re amazed by the high demand from our neighboring country, Germany—this is remarkable given that travel times can be six hours or more. The exhibitors in attendance, who are well-known in the scene and on online platforms, were able to showcase themselves and their products to the crowd of model aircraft enthusiasts. One of the advantages of such gatherings is the opportunity for personal contact and direct communication. When you want to invest a significant amount of money in high-quality products, it’s beneficial and helps build trust to have the chance to meet and speak with the manufacturers in person. Even among the exhibitors, the atmosphere is extremely friendly despite the competitive environment.

Many Names

Leomotion, eCalc, Chocofly, and Baumberger-Tech have been participating in this still-young event since its very beginning. Every year, they showcase their latest products and innovations. The colleagues from Composite RC-Gliders, FW, Mighft, and Modellwerker had longer commutes. The latter are manufacturers of professional and custom-made workbenches and impressed visitors with their high quality. The topic of eyewear was also presented by Daniel Vogt, an active model aircraft pilot and optician. His booth was well attended, as many pilots had questions regarding sun protection and vision aids. Smaller manufacturers of unique, high-end pieces, such as Keiro and Simmentaler Alpinflieger Co-Si, showcased their new products. Philipp Gardemin and his wife certainly provided a “tailwind” with their company, Sich & Faden. They’ve been promoting their business north of the Rhine and have been our regular guests for quite some time. The technical presentations by Daniel Aeberli, Werner Fehn, Fredy Doppelhofer, and Marco Cantoni drew great interest and were very well attended.

All in all, it was a fantastic event—a gathering of concentrated expertise, complete with a delightful bonus: a cozy aviation-themed pub offering a touch of indulgence.

Many thanks to our loyal crowd of visitors. With this wonderful memory, we can now close the book on the 2023 Experts’ Meeting. We’ll be back on February 3, 2024!
