The Fascination of Model Building

Thousands upon thousands of model-building enthusiasts once again flocked to Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance to experience the highlights and many new developments in the world of model building at this international trade show. The organizer, Messe Sinsheim GmbH, presented everything a model builder could desire across seven halls and an outdoor area—from model rockets to powerful snowcats and historic sailing ships, right up to an oversized Concorde. Right in Hall 1 was a paradise for model airplane enthusiasts. For example, a Fokker “Spider” from 1911. Wingspan: 4.34 m, length: 3.31 m, weight: 24.6 kg, King 94 engine with gearbox.
