2010 Swiss RC Aerobatics Championships (RCS-Akro)

Tim Schaerer is the 2010 RCS Acro Swiss Champion

It was probably the only person who didn’t realize it even before the competition: 17-year-old Tim Schaerer capped off his outstanding 2010 season by claiming the title of official 2010 RCS Acro Swiss Champion from the SMV. Following his victories in 2007 and 2009, this is already the third title for the young pilot from Ehrendingen, who trains with the Stetten Model Flying Association. His father, Andi Schaerer, and Silvio Meier of MG Balzers took second and third place, respectively, on the podium.

With this victory, the old and new Swiss champion Tim Schaerer concludes a season in which he won everything,

what there is to win in this sport. On the international “Euro Contest Glider Acro” tour, Tim won two out of four competitions and

He finished in second place behind the other two riders in each race. This secured him a clear victory in the Tour’s overall standings, and so
