When someone goes on a journey

Visit by the Young Acrobatics Team HEBU to Stabio, TI, GAM2000

The young team, led by Julia Bucher, set off for Stabio, TI, for the weekend of July 20–21, 2024. They accepted an invitation from the GAM2000 group to spend the weekend with them. It was set to be a fun and cheerful time with perfect summer weather.

• First arrivals on Friday evening
• The clubhouse is being used as a hangar for the model aircraft
• On Saturday, flights begin from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. featuring turbine jets and aerobatic models ranging from 2 m to 3 m in size, with fantastic demonstrations
• 12:00–3:00 p.m.: Lunch break with delicious pasta by Egidio Maglio; electric model flights permitted
• 3:00–8:00 p.m.: Flying resumes with combustion-engine models and helicopter flights.
• 8:00–10:00 p.m.: Barbecue with everyone on the tarmac, followed by stowing the models in the clubhouse
• 8:00 PM–12:00 AM: Night flights with 3D helicopters and small airplanes equipped with LED lights
• Leisurely Sunday breakfast in good company until around 11:00 a.m.
• Flights with electric models before lunch
• Lunch together for everyone on the airfield
• 3:00 PM: End of flying and return home

Conclusion: What started as a simple idea turned into a weekend that left guests satisfied and created unforgettable memories.

The team offered high praise and thanks to GAM200 for their hospitality and for providing this little oasis in the south.
