Model Aircraft Group Reinach's Summer Camp Flying Program

"When angels travel, heaven smiles."

That old saying seems to apply not only to traveling angels, as the Reinach Model Aircraft Club welcomed twelve motivated, model-flying-enthusiast teenagers to its airfield on July 5, 2019, under bright sunshine as part of the “Ferienpass” program. After a short air show by our two young pilots, Fabian and Lovis, to get everyone in the mood, we immediately got started with instructor-student flights using dual controls. Our flight instructors were on duty all afternoon, and flights took place almost nonstop with three to four airplanes in the air at any given time. The youngest pilot was just five years old.

Those who weren’t flying at the moment assembled a small hand-launched glider under supervision. Time literally flew by, and at 5:00 p.m., twelve satisfied young people headed home. It was a thoroughly successful event—not just for them, but for everyone involved.

An all-around successful event for everyone.
