The simplest models are the most successful

About the Construction Activities of MG Münchenbuchsee

1. Talking shop and sharing experiences at the workshop—here during the Bravo building course—makes the courses valuable for everyone involved.

2. The joy of creating a model together (e.g., the MU-Trainer) is, quite rightly, always immense and priceless.

3. Even with simple models like the MU-Trainer (plywood-EPP construction), challenging flight maneuvers can be practiced in the form of formation flights, which are very instructive.

4. Both the Extra 300 (left) and the AS-202 Bravo (right) incorporate design elements similar to those of the MU-Trainer; this helps model builders become increasingly confident and independent.

5. We’ve had the most success with simple models like the EPP glider MUxy: building and successfully flying models across generations, always with a healthy dose of fun—what more could you ask for...?

6. When I consider how many MG-MU members were unfortunately unable to attend the model-building course meet but have a self-built course model sitting in their workshop, it’s fair to say that model building is alive and well at MG Münchenbuchsee and brings a lot of joy and a sense of community.
