GARIV – Cantonal Meeting – Lodrino – October 2023

In reality, it should be the culmination of all the events taking place in Ticino in 2023. In reality.

Unfortunately, though, things always turn out differently than expected.

The spoilsport was an international gathering of model aircraft enthusiasts in northern Italy that took some of our regular pilots away from us.

Please note that this is not a criticism or a suggestion that anyone is obligated to attend the aforementioned gathering. October 1st was a beautiful late-summer day that, from the very morning with its wonderful light, promised to be fantastic.

And so it was. The few participants—just a handful—and a few spectators could look forward to a wonderful event.

The advantage of this situation was, of course, that individual pilots got to fly much more often. Fun was therefore guaranteed.

This was also reflected in the excellent lunch enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.

The afternoon was pleasant and relaxed. Then, in the late afternoon, a few more jet pilots came to visit us.

All in all, it was a successful day that will certainly remain in our memories.
