International F5B Glider Championship (F5F Class) and Swiss F5B Championship

Once again, the NOS region was welcomed as a guest by MG Flaachthal. Finding suitable airfields for each discipline—and being allowed to use them—is anything but easy these days. . After the FAI canceled all World Cup competitions, we took the bold step of holding the event as an “open international” with an integrated Swiss Championship. It was well worth it. Fair competitions at an appealing level in both classes. In the F5B class, top pilot Karl Waser from Austria won, and in the F5F class, Thomas Wäckerlin from Switzerland took the title. The new F5B Swiss champion is Marco Cantoni of GAM Lausanne.
