SMV Achievement Badges: Not Just for Beginners!
Introducing something new takes time. This also applies to the SMV’s “Performance Badge” program, which clubs can easily organize on their own. The fact that the whole thing is also fun was demonstrated by the most recent event held at the MG Lucerne.
The goal of the SMV’s “Performance Badges” program is to create incentives for further development in flying. What many people don’t know: The performance badges are by no means intended solely for beginners; they do not impose any restrictions on instructors, and conducting them as part of normal flight operations is absolutely straightforward.

Include instructions and tips on how to fly it.
- Takeoff
- Pulled loop
- Roll
- Turn
- Immelmann
- Spin (3 revolutions)
- Simulated engine failure
- Touchdown
Flight preparation and the entire flight must

As part of the Achievement Badge program, there are also badges for instructors.
In recognition of his contributions to recruiting new members for MG Wehntal, group flight instructor Wisel Binder was recently awarded the “Instructor Pilot” badge. MG Wehntal and the SMV thank him for his dedicated service over countless years.
