Issue 61, just one year after the Great Jubilee. One might think that everything is continuing as it did back then, but unfortunately, that is not the case at all. Mother Nature has caught up with us and brought us a “gift that worries us.” The GAL group deserves credit for coming up with the idea for a gathering—not to mention actually making it happen. Despite all the rules and regulations, the event took place in Melano from September 12 to 13.

Unfortunately, there were no spectators, and our foreign friends were unable to attend due to the restrictions. But what about safety? A sign-in sheet was required.

On a beautiful late-summer day, the small gathering came together to perform the maneuvers.

Then the airplanes, with their pilots, gracefully traced the predetermined figures in the sky, aiming for the highest score—a feast for the eyes.

At noon—though it was already bright out—the GAL kitchen served us a delicious pasta dish that really impressed us.

The afternoon unfolded in the atmosphere of a vacation day, which concluded in the evening with the traditional barbecue party—and the morning likely caused a few problems for some pilots. Despite everything, it was a

that will surely remain in the memories of both participants and spectators alike. A big thank you to the GAL team, whose initiative helped make for a joyful weekend. ■
