Region 3 RC Aerobatics (F3A) Championships in Alpnach

(Wi) This year's regional F3A competition took place on May 6 at the Alpnach airfield, organized and conducted by the Obwalden Model Flying Club.

The Obwalden Model Flying Club organized the competition in exemplary fashion. From the layout of the venue to the smooth running of the competition, right down to the heartwarming and delicious refreshments served in the “bombproof” aircraft shelter, everything was there to delight the heart—even ideal competition weather.

In the “Beginner” category, Christian Bieri of the Lucerne Model Flying Club (MG Luzern) beat out ten competitors, relegating Tobias Kunz (MG Zug) and Andreas Steiner (MG Luzern) to the runner-up spots. In the “Regional” category, with 18 participants, Adrian Burri (MG Lucerne) claimed the top spot ahead of Faruk Yeginsoy (MG Reusstal) and Markus Bachmann (MG Lucerne).
