Retro Air Show at the Wil Model Aircraft Club
The IG Albatros was invited to hold its retro model aircraft day at the Wil Model Aircraft Sports Club. Under glorious sunshine, the first participants arrived and were greeted with coffee and croissants. Throughout the day, three tow planes were used to launch the gliders into the air, allowing every participant to fly their glider in the thermals. Of course, there were also various motorized models that could take off under their own power and were lifted to lofty heights by their quiet electric motors. Model flying works up an appetite, so at lunchtime all participants were treated to a delicious barbecue and a variety of salads. Of course, coffee and cake were also on the menu. The afternoon felt almost too short; everyone flew enthusiastically with all the many beautiful vintage models. There were many happy and satisfied faces to be seen. To wrap things up, everyone enjoyed a bratwurst at the end of the day, and so the wonderful flying day came to a close in the late afternoon. The Wil Model Flying Club extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants for coming and is already looking forward to next year.
