A Spectacular Show at the “Amicale Hélicos 2007” in Vétroz

In fact, on Sunday, September 23, the Sion Model Aircraft Club organized an event dedicated to rotary-wing aircraft. Spectators were treated to maneuvers by some thirty helicopters: replicas of real aircraft, trainers for aerobatics or practice, and custom-built models. We were treated to breathtaking demonstrations

by young Lucas Riva from Stabio, who thrilled the audience with several full-scale aerobatic flights using his gas- or electric-powered helicopters. He demonstrated his skill, composure, and talent to everyone. The Divonne model aircraft club also delighted spectators with several large aircraft featuring a wingspan of over 3 meters. Messrs. Michel and Buhlmann presented a Lama 315 and a Bell Jet Ranger equipped with turbines to spectators who were captivated by the realism of the flights and the precision of the details and finishes on their helicopters. performed by amateur pilots who were, however, highly skilled at the controls.

Throughout the day, pilots and aircraft took turns without incident, and at 5:00 p.m., the demonstrations

concluded with the promise of another event in 2009.
