Kyburg Cup 2018

The motor glider competition—originally featuring small internal-combustion engines and founded by the MG Diessenhofen and the MG Illnau-Effretikon—has a long tradition. Many a successful pilot began their model aviation career as a junior at the Kyburg Cup. This wonderful event has often had to be canceled due to bad weather. This year it went off without a hitch, and many attendees were happy to seek out the shade. The winners were Daniel Äberli of MG Erlenbach-Herrliberg, followed by Domi Wettstein of MV Pfäffikon, and junior Manuel Peter of MG Mörzburg. ■
