Swiss Drone League (SDL)

4

The Swiss Drone League (SDL) is Switzerland’s drone racing league. The league is also known as “the Formula E of the skies” and was founded in the fall of 2018. The SDL quickly gained enormous reach and significant media attention.

Drone racing is a new and innovative sport that combines current trends such as esports, digitalization, and VR experiences with the physical thrill of racing. Pilots maneuver their drones—also known as “quadcopters”—through spectacular race tracks. A camera is attached to each drone. The image is automatically transmitted in real time to special FPV (First Person View) goggles worn by the pilot. This allows the pilot to sit virtually right in the cockpit and control their quadcopter live.

By organizing four to six races at high-profile venues such as trade shows, stadiums, and events of all kinds throughout Switzerland, the Swiss Drone League offers a unique spectacle for all spectators and participants. Be there LIVE!
