TAKING OFF TOGETHER: WE'RE LOOKING FOR A NEW PRESIDENT

This role offers a unique sense of excitement and genuine creative freedom: We are currently working on a new, forward-looking association strategy. As president, you’ll be at the helm of key decisions. You’ll maintain direct contact with authorities such as the FOCA, the Aero-Club of Switzerland, and the international bodies of the FAI and CIAM. You won’t be working alone, but rather hand in hand with a highly dedicated board of directors and a passionate, nationwide community.

For this key role, you bring a deep understanding of our community—from the grassroots level through elite sports to the political framework. As an inspiring leader and skilled mediator, you’ll lead projects with confidence. Since we are a national federation, a solid command of a second official language (especially French) as well as English is essential. Your organizational skills and strategic thinking will help you steer the SMV confidently through the regulatory and societal changes of the coming years.

Don’t worry about being overwhelmed: Behind the scenes, you’ll be supported not only by your fellow board members but also by an administrative office and well-coordinated expert committees. The time commitment is also flexible: You can choose either a focused leadership role (approx. 600 hours/year) or a more even distribution of tasks within the team (approx. 200 hours/year). In addition, Adi Eggenberger guarantees a thorough, step-by-step orientation and handover of the position. Are you interested, do you have questions, or are you simply curious?
