In our cover story, we present “VTOL,” a gathering of vertical takeoff model airplanes. The idea was a success and drew several pilots to Pfäffikon, ZH. The variety of VTOL models on display was astonishing.

With the Freestyle Challenge, a new sports category was launched in Switzerland over the course of nine months. This category claims to represent the most creative form of aerobatics in model aircraft flying. The field of participants at the first competition was certainly impressive and can definitely be considered a success.

The Nidwalden Model Aircraft Club went from 0 to 70, celebrating its 70th anniversary with a diverse air show.
